Deportivo: Deportivo La Coruna have said they will lodge an official complaint with UEFA over incidents that took place during their Intertoto Cup final defeat by Olympique Marseille on Tuesday. The Galicians let slip a 2-0 first-leg lead to lose 5-1 at the Stade Velodrome, where they had two players sent off. The club said they would provide a video of the game and press cuttings from Spanish newspapers to support their case, although they did not detail the precise nature of the complaint.

Viana: Portugal midfielder Hugo Viana hopes his year-long loan deal at Valencia will allow him to secure a permanent move to the Primera Liga side. "My first aim is to help the team and after that if Valencia are pleased with my performances I would like to stay here," Viana said. "We have many internationals here and of course we have to target success in the league and the cup." The 22-year-old was signed from Newcastle United by Quique Sanchez Flores's side after Brazilian midfielder Edu tore a cruciate ligament in training last weekend.

Larsson: Sweden coach Lars Lagerback has included Henrik Larsson in a 22-man squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Hungary. The Barcelona striker, who opened the scoring for Sweden in their 2-1 friendly victory against the Czech Republic last week, was sidelined for most of last season with torn knee ligaments. Larsson, 33, is likely to form an attacking duo with striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who missed the Czech game because of a damaged calf muscle.

Aliadiere: French forward Jeremie Aliadiere has joined West Ham on loan from Arsenal. The 22-year-old had been on loan at Celtic but has failed to start a competitive game. "The signing of Jeremie is another big coup for the club," West Ham manager Alan Pardew said. "He is an exciting young talent from Arsenal and along with David Bellion will bring some French flair to our squad."

Nakata: Bolton manager Sam Allardyce says Japanese midfielder Hidetoshi Nakata will have to wait until he is "physically capable" of withstanding Premier League football before he makes his debut. "I don't want to play Nakata too early," Allardyce said after Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Newcastle. "He had a full pre-season with Fiorentina which means he should be there or thereabouts. He should be playing for us sooner rather than later."

Santos: Santos rallied from a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 at Paysandu on Wednesday in Robinho's last game for the club before he completes his move to Real Madrid. The win pulled Santos level on points with Brazilian championship leaders Corinthians, who lost 1-0 at Juventude. Both teams have 39 points from 22 games but Corinthians lead on the number of victories.
