Augenthaler: Bayer Leverkusen have sacked trainer Klaus Augenthaler after the club's worst start to the Bundesliga season in 22 years and a defeat in their first UEFA Cup match. Former Germany coach Rudi Voeller, who is Leverkusen's sporting director, will initially take over the coaching duties, the club said yesterday.Leverkusen are 12th in the Bundesliga with just a single win from four matches and they also lost their home leg 1-0 against CSKA Sofia in the first round of the UEFA Cup on Thursday.

Henry: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hopes to discuss a new contract with Thierry Henry while the striker recovers from injury in the next six weeks.
