Fine overturned: The Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) has overturned its decision to fine premier league side CSKA Sofia 37,500 levs ($26,210) and an order to play one match behind closed doors. The Sofia-based club lodged an immediate appeal once a BFU disciplinary commission handed out the punishments after fans displayed abusive banners during their league match against Litex Lovech on Aug. 11.

Rosi: Roma loaned young midfielder Aleandro Rosi to Serie B Chievo yesterday. Roma have meanwhile drafted in Portugal U-21 player Vitorino Antunes on loan from Pacos de Ferreira.

Baggio: Former Italy striker Roberto Baggio has told Italian media that he would not rule out the possibility of coaching the China national side. At present, Baggio is on a promotional visit to Asia ahead of next year's Beijing Olympics.

Beye: Olympique Marseille's Senegalese defender Habib Beye may join Premier League side Newcastle United, the Ligue 1 club's president said. "There has been an offer from Newcastle. We will probably reach a conclusion tomorrow," Pape Diouf told reporters.

Leeds: The English FA is launching an investigation into comments made by Leeds United's Uruguayan assistant manager Gus Poyet about referee Andy D'Urso. Poyet accused the official of having an agenda against himself and manager Dennis Wise.

Gallas: France coach Raymond Domenech has included injured Arsenal defender William Gallas in his squad for Euro 2008 qualifiers against Italy on Sept. 8 and Scotland four days later. Gallas is doubtful for the Group B ties because he is currently sidelined with a groin problem.

Gravesen: Celtic midfielder Thomas Gravesen has rejoined Everton on a season-long loan, two and a half years after leaving the Merseyside club for Real Madrid. The 31-year-old Gravesen spent five years at Goodison Park before joining Real Madrid in January 2005. He left the Bernabeu for Celtic 12 months ago.

Kluivert: Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert is joining Lille, the Ligue 1 side said yesterday. The northerners announced the surprise deal a day before the transfer window closes without giving any details.

Materazzi: Italy defender Marco Materazzi says he will be out of action for two months, not four as originally forecast. The 34-year-old suffered a bad thigh injury in last week's 3-1 friendly defeat in Hungary and doctors said he could be out until next year.
