Croatia: The Croatian federation has been fined 50,000 Swiss francs by FIFA for the “inappropriate behaviour” of the national team’s fans during a World Cup qualifier against Kosovo on October 6. Media reports after the match stated that sections of the home and away support engaged in anti-Serbian chants during the game, which was played in Albania and classified as a home match for Kosovo.

Zaha Hadid Architects - the firm that designed a stadium for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the London Aquatics Centre - came up with the winning idea.

Berbatov: Dimitar Berbatov could return to the Premier League with Swansea manager Bob Bradley admitting the veteran striker is “on his radar”. The former Tottenham, Manchester United and Fulham forward has been without a club since leaving Greek side PAOK in June. “I have met Dimitar a few times and I know he is anxious to get back into the Premier League,” he said. “Everyone inside our club knows that, and so when there are (transfer) discussions his name is included.

England host Italy at St Mary’s on November 10 before travelling to Bondoufle to play France on November 14. Tottenham midfielder Winks has made seven appearances this season and Swansea defender Mawson joined from Barnsley for £5.5 million in the summer and has played twice.
