Elia: Feyenoord have announced that Eljero Elia will remain with the club until 2018. The 29-year-old joined the Eredivisie outfit in the summer of 2015 and made 31 league appearances last term. The winger’s existing deal ran until 2017 but the former Werder Bremen and Southampton man has agreed to extend his stay for a further year.

Ivanov: Greek club Panathinaikos have signed Bulgaria defender Ivan Ivanov from Lokomotiv Plovdiv on a three-year contract, the player revealed yesterday. “I’m pleased to join one of the biggest Balkan clubs – Panathinaikos,” the 28-year-old centre-back, capped 40 times by Bulgaria, said. Ivanov, Bulgaria’s footballer of the year in 2013, was released from Basle by mutual consent in December and re-joined Lokomotiv three months later in a bid to resurrect his flagging career with the 2004 Bulgarian champions.

Leko: West Bromwich Albion striker Jonathan Leko has signed his first professional contract at The Hawthorns. The 17-year-old academy graduate, who joined the club at 11, has penned a three-year deal following his breakthrough into the first team last season. He made his debut in the League Cup against Norwich in September before making a Premier League bow for the Baggies aged 16 when he appeared as a substitute in the 0-0 draw at Sunderland in April.

Scepovic: Stefan Scepovic’s ill-fated Celtic stint is over after the Serbia international’s loan stay with Getafe was made permanent, yesterday. The 26-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the La Liga outfit, with the fee reported as €1.2 million. The striker’s departure from Parkhead comes as no surprise as new Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers continues to clear out his squad ahead of his summer squad overhaul.
