Southampton: Southampton have announced a three-year partnership which will see Virgin Media become their new main sponsor from the start of the 2016-17 season. Virgin Media replace Veho, whose contract with the club finished after the Saints achieved their best Premier League finish of sixth last term.

Raimondi: Cristian Raimondi will be playing for Atalanta again next season after renewing his contract by another year. The veteran midfielder returned to the club in 2010 following spells with Palermo and Vicenza. “I’m happy, it was what I wanted and I can’t wait to experience another season with Atalanta,” Raimondi, 35, said.

Kramer: Christoph Kramer will return to Borussia Moenchengladbach after the club announced they had signed the midfielder on a five-year deal. Kramer made 73 appearances in all competitions for Gladbach during a two-year loan spell between 2013 and 2015 before moving back to Bayer Leverkusen. The 25-year-old played 42 times for Leverkusen last season, but has now sealed a permanent transfer to the Stadion im Borussia-Park.

Rossi: Bologna are engaged in talks with Fiorentina to sign striker Giuseppe Rossi this summer. Rossi was loaned to Levante last season as he sought to gain his fitness after a long sequence of injuries. He will be returning to the Serie A and according to a Sky Sports Italia report, Bologna are looking to get Rossi’s signature.

Aanholt: Sunderland defender Patrick van Aanholt has signed a new four-year contract at the Stadium of Light. The 24-year-old Dutchman will stay at the club until 2020. Van Aanholt made an inconsistent start on Wearside after signing from Chelsea in 2014, but played a key role in his side’s ride to Premier League safety last season.
