Kaka: Lyon and Brazil midfielder Juninho says compatriot Kaka will be Milan's main threat in their Champions League quarter-final tie later this month. Juninho, who was booked in Lyon's 4-0 thrashing of PSV in the previous stage, will be suspended for the first leg to be played at the Stade Gerland on March 29. "No one is irreplaceable but Kaka in Milan, who represents to me 80 per cent of his team's potential," he said.

Arsenal: Sol Campbell and Robin Van Persie are set to end a six-week spell on the sidelines in a specially-arranged match today. The friendly, to be played behind closed doors, will be the first for both men since a 3-2 home defeat by West Ham on February 1, without mentioning the opposition. Campbell suffered an ankle injury and Van Persie broke a toe.

Barthez: Marseille keeper Fabien Barthez will miss his side's UEFA Cup third round second leg against Zenit St Petersburg with a left calf injury. "He felt a pain in his calf. We will know more about it tomorrow but it will also be hard for him to play," coach Jean Fernandez said.

Facchetti: Inter president Giacinto Facchetti has warned his players not to underestimate Ajax a second time when they meet for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals today. Facchetti's fears are based on their first leg when Inter went 2-0 down in the opening 20 minutes before staging a second-half fightback to grab a 2-2 draw. "The first leg has taught us two things," Facchetti said. "If you go out on the pitch convinced that you're facing an easy team, you will find yourself 2-0 down. But if we go out like we did in the second half at Amsterdam, we can progress to the next round."

Le Guen: Frenchman Paul Le Guen was looking forward to taking up his post as Rangers manager next season after agreeing a three-year deal."I'm convinced it's a good choice," Le Guen said. He guided Olympique Lyon to three consecutive Ligue 1 titles before leaving last year. He had also been approached by Benfica, VfB Stuttgart, Lazio and Dynamo Moscow but decided to take over from Alex McLeish at the Scottish Premier League side.

Open training: Germany, looking to head off a hostile reception, will hold a public training session in Dortmund next week, a day before playing a friendly against the US. The decision to allow fans into training at the Dortmund stadium on March 21, is aimed at rebuilding local goodwill towards the team and coach Juergen Klinsmann. Officials fear Dortmund fans might boo Klinsmann and his team at the friendly after the coach said Borussia Dortmund defender Christian Woerns would play no role in the World Cup.

In England: The Championship - Stoke vs Crystal Palace 1-3.

In Italy: Serie B - Triestina vs Cesena 0-1. Serie C1 - Pistoiese vs Lucchese 1-0.
