Leicester: Leicester City are interested in signing Rennes winger Ousmane Dembele, according to the Mail on Sunday. The 18-year-old has reportedly been watched by Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Southampton recently, and has scored four goals in nine games this season.

PSV: PSV Eindhoven won 2-0 away at Utrecht yesterday to stay a point ahead of Ajax Amsterdam as the Dutch league title race turned into a battle between the two. Colombian defender Santiago Arias and new arrival Marco van Ginkel scored in the opening 20 minutes to settle the result for PSV as they advanced to 53 points. Ajax had earlier left fourth-placed Feyenoord all but out of contention with a 2-1 home victory after also missing a second-half penalty.

Hamburg: Hamburg SV were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Cologne in the Bundesliga yesterday, stretching their winless streak to six league matches and pushing them closer to the drop zone. Hamburg, who needed a relegation playoff to stay up in the past two seasons, have taken two points from their last six matches. They have lost four of them and are in 13th place on 23 points, four above the play-off spot. Their last home win was in November.

St Etienne: St Etienne moved into the top four of Ligue 1 by beating Bordeaux 4-1 in an incident-packed contest. Les Verts were 2-0 ahead inside seven minutes following goals by Vincent Pajot and Osama Tannane. Cedric Yambere reduced the deficit from a 10th-minute corner. Alexander Soderlund made it 3-1 before Nolan Roux wrapped up a convincing victory.
