Video evidence: Derby County striker Craig Fagan faces a possible three-match suspension after being issued with a violent conduct charge from the English Football Association (FA) following retrospective study of video evidence. Fagan appeared to stamp on Liverpool defender Alvaro Arbeloa during Derby's 6-0 defeat at Anfield in an English Premier League encounter last Saturday. Fagan has until today to respond to the charge.

Argentina: Striker Hernan Crespo and midfielder Maxi Rodriguez have been ruled out of Argentina's friendly away to Australia next week, the Argentina FA said. Crespo has not regained match fitness after spraining a thigh muscle during the Copa America in Venezuela in July while Rodriguez has a thigh muscle strain.

Greece: Greece have lost two more players through injury ahead of next Wednesday's Euro 2008 Group C qualifier in Norway. Experienced defender Michalis Kapsis, a member of the victorious Euro 2004 squad, has a serious calf strain while newcomer Nikos Spyropoulos injured a bicep during Panionios' opening game of the season against Aris. Greece coach Otto Rehhagel has not yet called up any replacements.

Riquelme: Outcast Argentina playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme returned to training with the Villarreal squad, after spending two weeks exercising in solitary. Villarreal made it clear Riquelme was surplus to requirements after he fell out with coach Manuel Pellegrini, and spent the last six months of last season on loan at Boca Juniors.

Leeds: Greek second division club Ionikos have said they will block moves by English third division battlers Leeds to sign Portuguese winger Felipe Da Costa on a free transfer. However, Ionikos have said the winger has a contract for another four years and is not available on a free transfer.

Miller: Scotland and Derby striker Kenny Miller has been ruled out of the Euro 2008 Group B qualifiers against Lithuania and France with a hamstring injury. "He aggravated a hamstring injury when he last played for Scotland against South Africa two weeks ago," the Scottish FA said.
