Yilmaz: Galatasaray will be bolstered by the return of talisman Burak Yilmaz when they host in-form Benfica in today’s Champions League clash at home. The Turkey striker returned to action after being sidelined for a month in Saturday’s 4-1 Super Lig win over Genclerbirligi. Yilmaz came off the bench and scored his 75th goal for Gala.

Chadli: Tottenham midfielder Nacer Chadli has been ruled out for six weeks after he sustained ankle ligament damage during Saturday’s goalless draw against Liverpool. The Belgium international was forced off the field after 11 minutes on Saturday having landed awkwardly inside the penalty area. The 26-year-old Chadli is set to miss the North London derby against Arsenal on November 8.

Polomat: St Etienne have ex-tended the contract of left-back Pierre-Yves Polomat until 2019. The 21-year-old defender, who made his debut for the club in 2012, has played seven times for the Ligue 1 side this season. After signing his first contract in 2013 he won the U-20 World Cup with France and has had loan spells with Chateauroux and Stade Lavallois.

Keita: Lazio striker Keita Balde Diao will be out of the game for up to four weeks following a medial collateral ligament injury in the shock 2-1 upset to Sassuolo on Sunday. Keita came on as a substitute but picked up a sprain. Lazio medics still have to determine the length of the recovery but early reports show the former Barce-lona player will have to be out for a month.

Stankevicius: Simonas Stan-kevicius has had his loan at Oldham cut short. The Lithuainia international joined from Leicester on a three-month deal at the end of August but has returned to the King Power Stadium ahead of schedule. The 20-year-old striker managed just four appearances for the Latics, with one start, and did not score.

Handball goal: The German football federation launched an investigation into Hanover player Leon Andreasen after he clearly used his arm to score a controversial winner against Cologne on Sunday. “The player is suspected of extreme unfavourable sporting behaviour,” the DFB said in a statement.
