Robben out: Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has been left out of the squad to face Arsenal in the Champions League tomorrow after failing to be fit in time for the game following his recovery from injury. The Dutchman, injured in a Euro 2016 qualifier against Iceland last month, had been hoping to make his comeback in London.

Kuyt: A hat-trick from veteran Dirk Kuyt ensured a handsome 5-2 away win for Feyenoord at Heerenveen yesterday and a three-point haul to keep pace with leaders Ajax. Michiel Kramer and Simon Gustafson scored the other goals in a first-half rout which saw Feyenoord 5-0 ahead at the break before Henk Veerman pulled two goals back for the hosts.

Neymar: Brazilian club Santos have complained to FIFA about Neymar’s transfer to Barcelona in 2013. “We can confirm that we received a claim from the club Santos concerning the player Neymar and the club FC Barcelona,” FIFA said. “The matter is currently pending and being investigated.” Santos president Modesto Roma an-nounced in May that he intended to take the case to FIFA over an alleged breach of contract.

Feghouli: Tottenham are considering making an offer for Valencia midfielder Sofiane Feghouli. Tuttosport said the Londoners will have to battle Inter for the player, whose contract is due to expire next summer. Inter are keen to make a winter bid, however, and sign him in January – forcing Spurs to either match their offer or look elsewhere.

Paatelainen: Mixu Paatelainen’s debut as Dundee United manager ended in defeat as Hearts left Tannadice with a 1-0 victory, yesterday. Blair Spittal brought down Sam Nicholson to allow Juanma Delgado to convert a 16th-minute penalty for the only goal. Spittal’s miserable day was compounded when two late yellow cards, the second in added time, saw him sent off. Victory lifted visitors Hearts back into third spot in the Premiership table, leaving United four points adrift at the bottom.

BATE champions: BATE Borisov claimed a 10th successive Belarus championship after a 2-0 victory against Vitebsk. The club can no longer be caught by second-placed Dynamo Minsk with three games left.
