'Fantastic' Park: Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has hailed South Korean midfielder Park Ji-Sung's contribution as fantastic this season. The midfielder has made 38 appearances since signing from PSV Eindhoven in the close season. "Ji-Sung Park has been fantastic for us," Ferguson said. "He adds something different to the way we play with his movement and desire to find space."

Raul: Spain striker Raul is unconcerned by his lack of first-team action with Real Madrid as he struggles to rediscover his form in time for the World Cup. "I have to be realistic and make the most of the minutes I get. I feel good in training and during games," he said. "All I can do is try to arrive at the finals in the best condition I can." Raul, 28, returned to action in mid-February after missing three months with a knee injury.

Risky move: Bayern Munich are considering a risky move for Argentine teenager Sergio Aguero now, before his performances push him out of the German club's price range. Bayern's director of football Uli Hoeness was in Argentina at the weekend to watch Aguero and club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has dropped a big hint that a bid for the 17-year-old Independiente player is imminent. "We must move before the Spanish and Italian clubs join the race, otherwise he will be more expensive," he said.

Referee strike threat: A threatened strike by Spanish referees could postpone the Primera Liga showdown between leaders Barcelona and Real Madrid on Saturday. The referees said on Monday they will go on strike if they are not paid outstanding salaries from the last two months, before this weekend's round of matches. Primera Liga and second division matches on April 1 and 2 are under threat including Barcelona's home game against Real Madrid, and the Seville derby on Sunday.
