Shaw: Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is expected to have a second operation on his broken leg today. Shaw was taken to the St Anna Ziekenhuis hospital on the outskirts of Eindhoven on Tuesday night after breaking his right leg in two places during United’s 2-1 defeat to PSV. The England left-back broke his tibia and fibula following a challenge by PSV defender Hector Moreno in the 15th minute.

Ogbonna: West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna will be out for three weeks after injuring his hamstring in Monday’s 2-0 win over Newcastle United, the club said. Ogbonna, who joined West Ham from Juventus during the summer transfer window and has since started all five Premier League games, withdrew just before half-time against Newcastle.

Romania: Romania must play their Euro 2016 qualifier at home to Finland behind closed doors after racist and violent behaviour from their fans during the goalless draws against Hungary and Greece. UEFA’s disciplinary panel also fined the Romanian federation €110,000 in total for the bad behaviour, the FRF said in a statement yesterday.

Krasnodar: Russian Premier League side Kuban Krasnodar named Sergei Tashuev as their new head coach yesterday, replacing Dmitry Khokhlov. The contract with the 56-year-old, formerly in charge of Metallurh Donetsk and Anji Makhachkala, is for one year, with the option of a further 12 months. “Today before training the new head coach was presented to the players and the staff,” the club’s website www.fckuban.ru said.

Pizza deal: Claudio Ranieri knows his Leicester City players are hungry for success so the Italian has offered them all a free pizza if they keep a clean sheet at Stoke City this weekend. “I told them ‘The clean sheet and I pay a pizza to everybody’,” he told reporters yesterday. “But I think they wait until I improve (the offer)... OK, the pizza and a hot dog.”
