Pazzini: Verona have announced the signing of Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini. The deal for the 30-year-old – who has 25 caps for the Italian national side – was announced by Verona on their Twitter feed. Pazzini spent three years with Milan, joining in the summer of 2012 from Inter as part of the deal which took Antonio Cassano in the opposite direction. He scored 24 goals in 86 appearances for the Rossoneri and has 139 goals throughout his club career.

Vitesse: Vitesse Arnhem have signed Chelsea’s teenage forward Isaiah Brown on loan for the coming season, the Dutch club confirmed yesterday. Brown is their third loan signing from the English champions in this transfer window. The 18-year-old, an England junior international who was signed by Chelsea from West Bromwich Albion in 2013, joins Lewis Baker and Brazilian Nathan in the Netherlands.

Traore: Monaco have signed Malian winger Adama Traore, the Ligue 1 side have announced. The 20 year-old moves to the Stade Louis II on a five-year deal and joins the principality club as a direct replacement for Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, who joined Atletico Madrid last week.

Gold Cup: The United States secured a quarter-final spot in the CONCACAF Gold Cup when they beat Haiti 1-0 on Friday, while Panama and Honduras drew 1-1 in the other Group A match in Massachusetts. A Clint Dempsey goal early in the second half secured the Americans’ win, though Haiti were far from overawed and had several good scoring chances that went begging. The US won their first group stage game against Honduras and have six points from two games.

Casilla: Espanyol president Joan Collet has said his club have rejected a bid from Real Madrid for goalkeeper Kiko Casilla. Madrid are seeking a replacement for club captain Iker Casillas, who is expected to join to Porto, and although Manchester United’s David de Gea remains their number one target, it appears Casilla is also on their radar.

Radu: Stefan Radu has signed a five-year contract extension with Lazio, the Serie A club have announced. The 28-year-old defender joined the Italian club in 2008 from Dinamo Bucharest and has won 14 caps for Romania. His existing contract was due to expire next summer.
