Woerns: Borussia Dortmund defender Christian Woerns has been banned for four matches for elbowing Nuremberg striker Stefan Kiessling in the face last month. Woerns knocked Kiessling flat with an elbow that blindsided the Nuremberg striker as he was looking across the pitch for a pass in a match on April 22. The suspension means the Dortmund captain will miss the final two matches this season, against Eintracht Frankfurt tomorrow and at Bayern Munich on May 13, as well as the first two matches of next season.

The versatile 22-year-old joined Sevilla in 2002 and is contracted until 2011.

Red Star: Red Star Belgrade president Dragan Stojkovic believes the Serbia champions can break into the Champions League group stage after winning their 24th league title and reaching the Cup final. Former Italy goalkeeper Walter Zenga became the first foreign manager in Red Star's history when he took over last year.
