Vieira robbed: Police are investigating reports that France midfielder Patrick Vieira and his family were robbed in their villa on the French Riviera. The player has filed a complaint, saying intruders seized jewels at his home in Cannes last weekend and drove away with his Mercedes, a police source said yesterday, confirming media reports. The car was later found abandoned in Nice.

Johnson: Crystal Palace have accepted a bid of £8.5 million ($16 million) for striker Andy Johnson from Premier League Wigan Athletic. Wigan have made a number of offers over the last two weeks, second division Palace said yesterday, but this was the first to be accepted. Everton and Bolton Wanderers also made offers for Johnson.

Reyna: US captain Claudio Reyna did not suffer any muscle damage when he limped off in the 1-0 defeat against Morocco on Tuesday. It was feared the Man. City midfielder had pulled his hamstring when he had to come off after only 15 minutes when he over-extended his leg trying to intercept a pass. However, a scan yesterday showed there was no serious damage.

DI VAIO: Italian forward Marco Di Vaio has said he wants to stay at Monaco and will not consider a move to Liverpool as part of Valencia's attempt to bring striker Fernando Morientes back to Spain. Di Vaio, who has a contract with Valencia until 2009, was loaned to Monaco in December after failing to find a regular place under coach Quique Sanchez Flores in the Primera Liga.

Ze Roberto: Brazil's Ze Roberto is leaving Bayern Munich after four seasons and plans to continue his career outside Germany, the midfielder said. "I think that my time in Germany is certainly up, I've conquered a lot of titles there," he said. "There are already some offers. I'm well known in the European market, I've been there for eight years."

Vignal: French defender Gregory Vignal has joined Racing Lens from English side Portsmouth. Vignal, 25, signed a four-year contract for an undisclosed transfer fee.
