Warner: FIFA vice-president Jack Warner is to face an internal disciplinary investigation into his alleged involvement in selling World Cup tickets, president Sepp Blatter said yesterday. Blatter said that Warner's case would be heard by the disciplinary committee. He said, though, it was premature to call for the vice-president's resignation. Warner, a member of the FIFA executive since 1983, and his associates are accused of personally profiting from the resale of tickets contrary to FIFA's own ticketing rules.

Rebrov: Dynamo Kiev striker Serhiy Rebrov will be out of action for at least three weeks with a hamstring injury. The 32-year-old Ukraine international limped off the pitch in the second half of Wednesday's Champions League Group E match against Romania's Steaua Bucharest.

Lennon: Tottenham Hotspur's winning return to European action was soured by the news that England winger Aaron Lennon could be out for up to six weeks with a knee injury that will require surgery. Lennon, who missed Tottenham's 1-0 UEFA Cup first round victory at Slavia Prague, suffered a slight tear in the cartilage of his right knee in training last week.

Racism: The German FA fined Hansa Rostock's regional league side 20,000 euros yesterday after their fans chanted racist slogans at Schalke striker Gerald Asamoah in a recent German Cup match. The DFB also ordered the third division club to play their next home match without any spectators.

UEFA Cup: First round, first leg - Vitoria Setubal vs Heerenven 0-3.

Division II/III KO: Ta' Xbiex vs Luqa 0-1; Siggiewi vs Mdina 0-0.

In England: The Championship - Hull vs Sheffield Wednesday 2-1.
