Costly flare: Spain's government-run Anti-violence Commission has recommended the Spanish Football Federation be fined 3,000 euros for deficient security measures at the recent friendly against Argentina. The Commission said the fine was issued because the federation failed to prevent a fan entering the stadium in Murcia with a flare and then lighting it at the start of the match which Spain won 2-1.

John Koh, general secretary of the Football Association of Singapore, said he was not willing to comment as no approach had been made by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to discuss replacing the Kingdom, one of the tournament hosts.
