Laudrup: Former Danish international Michael Laudrup said he had agreed to take charge of Spanish side Getafe next season but was unable to sign a deal until present coach Bernd Schuster made his move to Real Madrid. "Everything is in place between me and Getafe," he said. "We have talked things through but before there is a final clarification in the other matter we cannot of course make a contract," he added, referring to the expected departure of Schuster.

Adriano: Striker Adriano looks set to stay at Inter despite a disappointing season. "It is clear I would like to wear the colours of a club like Milan or Real Madrid but there is nothing concrete. I am happy where I am," he told Italian media.

Reo-Coker: Aston Villa have agreed a fee of £8.5 million with West Ham for the transfer of midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker. The England Under-21 captain is expected to complete his move to Villa Park today, subject to agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

Kovacevic: Serbian striker Darko Kovacevic has told sports daily Marca he will play for Greek champions Olympiakos next season. He left Real Sociedad following their relegation from the Primera Liga.

Mavuba: Villarreal have signed French midfielder Rio Mavuba on a five-year deal from Girondins Bordeaux. Spanish media reported that Villarreal had paid close to seven million euros for the 23-year-old midfielder, who has won six caps for France.

In Italy: Torino have signed Udinese defender Cesare Natali on a five-year contract. Udinese, on their part, have bought midfielder Gokan Inler from FC Zurich.

Munoz: Former Panathinaikos coach Victor Munoz has been named as the new coach of Primera Liga side Recreativo Huelva. The 50-year-old ex-Barcelona player will take over from previous boss Marcelino who left the club for Racing Santander at the end of last season.
