Bravo: Greek Super League champions Olympiakos Piraeus have completed the signing of Spanish international defender Raul Bravo from Real Madrid. The club said the 26-year-old had signed a four-year contract in a deal reported by the Greek media to have involved a transfer fee of between 1.5 and 2.3 million euros. The defender has played 14 times for the Spanish national team.

Viana: Valencia's Portugal midfielder Hugo Viana, 24, will spend next season on loan with Osasuna, the Primera Liga clubs have said. Osasuna have an option to buy the former Sporting Lisbon and Newcastle United player for four million euros next year.

Untimely marriage date: Thai midfielder Datsakorn Thonglao has dropped a bombshell on his team-mates by announcing he will marry on the eve of a crucial Asian Cup Group A match against Australia. The talented Thai playmaker kept today's wedding a secret from national coach Charnwit Polcheewin until after the Thais' 2-0 victory over Oman on Thursday. "I apologised to Charnwit and the team because I didn't even tell them about it," Datsakorn said. "If I had told them earlier, they would have worried it would have affected my performance."

Eriksson: Sven-Goran Eriksson made a winning start to his Manchester City reign as his team came from behind to beat Doncaster 3-1 in a friendly yesterday. The former England boss was booed onto the pitch by the Doncaster fans. Eriksson's first game as City boss came 378 days his last game as England manager - the defeat by Portugal on penalties in the 2006 World Cup quarter-final.
