The Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in San Pawl tat-Tarġa, which is nearing completion, has developed into a venue which not only serves for divine worship and as a centre for catechism and praise but also as an attraction for connoisseurs of modern sacred art and culture.

The Divine Mercy Sanctuary has wisely taken the initiative and has published an invaluable book with deep spiritual reflections on the Via Crucis, which adorns the sanctuary.

These reflections, originally penned in Maltese by eminent scholar Fr Peter Serracino Inglott, are beautifully presented alongside Daniel Cilia’s splendid photography of Austin Camilleri’s oeuvres in the sanctuary. This book, with its beautiful reflections, is appropriate for the Lenten season as we prepare to celebrate the Paschal Mystery. The book is available at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy (tel. 2158 1266).

The publication is an invaluable addition to anybody’s library. I highly recommend it.
