Officials from South Korea's unification ministry departed Seoul to join a meeting on Pyongyang's participation in the Pyeongchang Winter Paralympics on Tuesday.

Two North Korean Nordic skiers have been invited to take part in next month's Pyeongchang Paralympics, and Pyongyang has agreed, said delegation head, Lee Joo-Tae before leaving forth the working-group level meeting which will be held on the North Korean side of the truce village of Panmunjom.

Lee said he hoped the talks and participation of North Korea in the winter Games will help to maintain the improved relations between the two Koreas.

Pyeongchang Winter Olympics will start on March 9.
