Most radio stations will be off air on Saturday morning and the early afternoon because of  urgent maintenance work on the Gharghur
Transmitting Tower, the Broadcasting Authority said.

"Given the nature of the work to be undertaken, this assignment has to be conducted during the day and necessitates a switch-off of analogue radio stations. We will strive to limit switch-off to the shortest time possible," the BA said.

The work is scheduled for next Saturday  between 5 am and 3 pm.
Switch-on can take place earlier should the contractor conclude the work before 3pm.

Should unfavorable weather deter the works on the planned day, the assignment will be postponed to the following Saturday.
