A Somali man has died after the car which he was driving crashed into a wall and a tree in National Road, Blata l-Bajda. Another three Somali men were injured.

The incident happened at about 3.30 a.m. as the car was being driven towards Marsa.

The car, a Hyundai Accent, ended up on one of its sides with the force of impact. The police and rescuers of the Civil Protection Department were on the scene, along with three ambulances.

The police said the 22-year-old driver, a resident of Hal Far, was rushed to hospital in critical condition. He died early this afternoon.

Also injured were another two men, aged 21 and 23, resident of Hal Far, and an 18-year-old who lives in Fgura.
