Soldiers of the Armed forces of Malta's Maritime Squadron earlier this morning arrested two hunters in St. Thomas Bay after they were found in possession of a quantity of illegally-sized shotgun ammunition lead-shot, and a bird-caller.

The AFM said the Squadron's Rapid Deployment Team (RDT) was in the area conducting patrols against illegal hunting when the two men were apprehended on the slipway. One was 21years from Gudja and the other 54 years old from Zejtun.

Both hunters were handed over to Malta Police Administrative Law Enforcement officers.
