The Pastoral Formation Institute, in collaboration with the Malta Chapter of Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice Foundation, is organising a seminar with the theme 'Society and religion amid the present credit crunch and global financial unease'.
The speakers are Catherine McGeachy, who lectures in management and administration and is the author of Spiritual Intelligence In The Workplace, Mario Galea, who chairs the ethics committee of the Malta Institute of Accountants, and Roderick Chalmers, chairman of the board of directors of Bank of Valletta plc.
The meeting will be followed by a discussion and sharing of views.
The event, which is being held on May 12 at 6.30 p.m. at the Corinthia Palace, Attard, will be chaired by Prof. Salvino Busuttil. The seminar forms part of the Dialogues in Society Seminar series, an initiative of the Pastoral Formation Institute for the past three years.
Dialogues in Society aims to offer an opportunity to explore how the faith experience can be developed to enliven diverse areas of life in the midst of contemporary challenges and opportunities.
These dialogues offer an occasion where situations concerning many of us can be discussed, and where the Church can listen to professionals and recognise the needs that manifest themselves in various professional, economic and social spheres.
