Voices concerts tickets

The organising committee of the Voices concert said tickets were still available for the concerts due to the held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on Friday, October 4, and Sunday, October 13.

The committee said the booking office at the centre was open between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily and a booking service was also available on telephone 2295 0751.

HSBC Donation

HSBC has donated Lm1,000 to the Malta Red Cross Society which will be used to cover the running costs of one of the society's ambulances.

The presentation was made by HSBC head of marketing and public relations, Godfrey Swain, to Malta Red Cross director general Albert Palmier.

Fit for swimming

The stretch of coast along Tower Road, between It-Torri and Fond Ghadir, Sliema, has been declared fit for swimming by the Department of Public Health after repeated analysis of the seawater.

The health warning against bathing in this area, issued earlier this week, has been withdrawn.

Training Networking Workshop

Bank of Valletta officials Edwin Cassar and Kenneth Micallef recently attended the yearly Training Networking Workshop organised by the Mediterranean Bank Network (MBN) held in Zagreb, Croatia. The meeting was chaired by BOV's Paul Gauci, currently the chairman of the training subcommittee within the MBN.

The MBN is a strategic partnership between leading and medium sized Mediterranean banks designed to promote inter-regional and business relationships among its members, which include Bank of Valletta.

Curia Appointment

Mildred Falzon has been appointed president of the Forum of Maltese Catholic Associations and Movements, the Curia said yesterday.
