GIORDMAINA. On October 16, at St Luke's Hospital, JOHN, of Rabat, residing in Sta Venera, aged 77, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Agnes, his brothers and their families, his in-law Edwin Gaglione and his wife Ellis who reside in Australia, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. KRANTZ. On October 15, at his residence in Gharghur, DANIEL, aged 23, passed peacefully away. He leaves to mourn his loss his mother Veronique Mizzi, his father Ulf Krantz, his sisters Elisa, Anna and Emily, his brother Frederik, his grandparents Marion and Joe Mizzi, Inga and Per Krantz, his aunts and uncles, his cousins, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. Law Courts Talk

Rev. Prof. Peter Serracino Inglott will give a talk at the law courts, in Valletta on October 29 at 6 p.m. to mark the European Day of Civil Justice.

The talk will highlight the contribution of the Council of Europe in the field of civil justice and refer to relevant aspects in this regard in the proposed constitution of Europe. A similar activity will be held in Gozo.

There will also be a moot court session organised by the European Law Students Association on topics relating to children's rights and succession, on October 31, at the law courts, and an open day at the courts on October 31 in the morning.

The Cana Movement has launched a new website, offering information on the various services provided by the movement to engaged couples, married couples and parents through counselling, support groups, publications and other activities.

Eating Disorders

The treatment of various eating disorders will be the theme of a seminar by Ivan Eisler at the Waterfront Hotel, in Sliema, on October 31.

Dr Eisler is a senior lecturer in clinical psychology and head of section of family therapy at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, London. He is also head of the child and adolescent eating disorder service at the Maudsley Hospital, London.

Students' Concert

The 2003/4 programme of activities of the Società Filarmonica G.M. Fra Antoine De Paule will be inaugurated with a concert by the students of its school of music.

The concert will be held in the hall of the society's premises in Paola on October 24 at 7.30 p.m. Entrance is free of charge and everybody is invited.
