GALEA. On November 14, at Zammit Clapp Hospital, CARMELA, of Paola, aged 94, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Paola, Vincenza Ellul widow of Grezzju, Mary and her husband Pino Lisci, Rosaria and her husband Joseph Agius, Antonia and her husband Markis Deguara, Maria Dolores and her husband Emanuel Deguara, and Joseph widower of Angela, Grace Galea widow of her son George, her grandchildren and their respective spouses, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for Christ the King parish church, Paola where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery.
Lord grant her eternal rest.

SULTANA, MYRIAM, née Vella, aged 80, passed peacefully away after a protracted illness borne with Christian resignation and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Donald, her in-laws, Connie widow of Wilfred Sultana, Herbert and his wife May, Arnold and his wife Marcelle, her niece Elizabeth (Tatou) and her husband Admiral Raffaele Colliva and their daughters Alessandra and Isabella, her nephew Georges, Frank de Cuzey, her cousins Rose Galea and Martin Said and their respective spouses, other relatives and many friends.
The funeral will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, from St James Capua Hospital at 8.30 a.m. for the parish church of St Mary in Attard, where Requiem Mass, praesente cadavere, will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
No flowers by request, but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza would be appreciated.

Anniversary Activities

The Zejtun and Zurrieq parishes will be organising activities and celebrations to mark the 17th century from the martyrdom of St Catherine of Alexandria, their patron saint, in the coming year starting on November 25.

Activities will range from liturgical celebrations to cultural activities.
