The story was that PBS transmitted a Labour response to something or other, and the employee handling it, coincidentally a Labour delegate, made a mistake, as humans do. Labour drew itself up to its full height and invoked the majesty of the law, asking the Broadcasting Authority, that estimable institution (the same one that Labour of the past used to treat with disdain - they love invoking the law when they feel hard done by) for a remedy.

The BA took note of the mistake and gave its decision, which Labour promptly took as a victory nonpareil, to the extent that its PR guru, none other than Kurt Farrugia, tweeted about it, lambasting the PBS Head of News personally. It is not untypical of Labour to personalise an issue, as you can readily see by taking a look at the comments that follow this blog.

Labour trumpeted that PBS had been found guilty of imbalance. A scant few hours later, the BA issued a statement, pointing out that PBS had not, in fact, been found guilty of imbalance, which rare event was soon to be followed by another Labour statement saying that, yes, in fact, the BA had found PBS guilty of imbalance.

You see, Labour knows more than the Broadcasting Authority what the Broadcasting Authority decided and even though the BA said it had not decided what Labour said it had decided, Labour said it had, so there, yah boo, sucks to you.

Seriously, what does it take for Labour's PR people and their sympathisers to admit they're wrong? Nikita Alamango, Julia Farrugia and now the head PR boy himself, Kurt Farrugia, backed by Labour itself as an entity just don't even seem to have it cross their minds that they messed up. Instead, they blithely carry on saying that they were right, in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Do they really think that they can fool all of the people all of the time?
