A light aircraft was involved in a minor accident at Malta International Airport this afternoon.

Airport officials said no injuries were reported and the only person on board the aircraft, a Tecnam T2002, was the pilot.

The incident led to the aircraft’s nose gear collapsing upon landing on runway 23-05.

The relevant aviation authorities are investigating the incident.
