A small fire this morning destroyed a consignment of bags at an ice-making factory at Mosta industrial zone.

The blaze, at about 4.30 a.m., was controlled by the fire-fighters of the Civil Protection Department before it could spread to other parts of the factory.

Some furniture near the door of the factory was also damaged.
