Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has confirmed a small change in the annual encroachment permit issued to the Safari Camping Club to occupy a caravan site at Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq.

Answering a parliamentary question by Claudette Buttigieg (PN), he said the permit had been issued on February 13, 2013, with the same conditions of previous years to the same association for the same site.

The only change this year was that the permit timespan started on May 15 and would end on September 15, instead of June 1 to September 30.

As per an agreement in June 2009, the association was responsible for the clean upkeep of the site at all times and at its own expense.

Dr Muscat also confirmed that the association was paying €150 a year for exclusive use of a permanent structure in the area.
