Sliema McDonald's chalked up their second consecutive win at the expense of a battling Exiles Elle et Vire side who sorely felt the absence of the injured Revaz Chomakhidze.

Otto Frick, Rajmund Fodor, scorer of four goals, Jerome Gabaretta, Jonathan Valletta and John Soler were a constant threat to Exiles who found it hard to cope with Sliema's top guns.

Exiles managed to limit the damage in a balanced opening session but the game was as good as over as a contest when Sergio Afric's side fired in three quick goals early in the second session.

The score was five-all when Valletta, Frick and Gabaretta all hit the target to set Sliema on their way to a comfortable victory.

The game produced some flowing fare and a staggering 31 goals. Frick delighted the sparse crowd at the National Pool with a delightful backhand in the second session.

As expected, Sirens hammered Marsaxlokk who only had 10 men in their line-up yesterday.

With Charlie Zammit, Tony Galea and Paul Privitera in formidable mood and Amaury Perez doing all the hard work, Ian Azzopardi's team never stood a chance.

The only way they tried to put Joseph Sammut in some sort of trouble was from long-distance shots, with Edward Bonello being the player most involved.

With the points all but assured, Sirens started to give their youngsters a taste of the action.

At least, Marsaxlokk did manage to play at a par with their opponents in the last session which saw both teams sharing 10 goals.
