A warden who fined a Paola man for dumping his in-laws’ rubbish in a Birkirkara skip has defended her action, saying she was simply enforcing a 2000 bylaw.

In a report she filed with her employer Guard and Warden Service House Ltd, which has opened an internal inquiry, the warden said the rubbish dumper was not a Birkirkara resident and police were called when another man joined him and was hostile to her.

Times of Malta yesterday reported that Paola resident Jean Paul Bellizzi was slapped with a €46 fine for dumping rubbish in a skip in Triq il-Passju on Tuesday.
