As part of Re/Max's continuous training development, associates from the letting department recently attended a half-day creative thinking seminar by Joseph Woods at the Westin Dragonara Resort, St Julian's.

Mr Woods spoke about the main challenges being faced in the current economic scenario and suggested ways and methods on how to create opportunities by thinking differently. These included the Six Thinking Hats methodology, Direct Attention Thinking Skills, and Simplicity and Lateral Thinking, all of which were developed by Edward Debono.

Edward Agius, letting manager for Re/Max, said the methods are definitely worth applying. The team stands to benefit from such methods and have learnt to think laterally to define new strategies.

Re/Max Malta will shortly be holding its Succeed mentoring programme. Regional director for Re/Max Malta Kevin Buttigieg said: "We are fully committed to assisting our associates to build their own businesses within our own business.

Mr Woods is a business development consultant who has provided consultancy services to government, business and voluntary organisations for the past 25 years. He provides consultancy services to the World Centre for New Thinking and is a creative thinking trainer in Edward de Bono's techniques and methodologies.
