The KFSA singles league continued last Sunday when 28 anglers 'crossed rods' at Senglea Point. The match, as has now become the norm, started at 6 a.m. and lasted five hours.

The event had its ups and downs in a way that those facing Valletta had quite a good day while the others, who were facing Vittoriosa, had a rather quiet match, to say the least.

Quite a few Bream (Sparli) were landed besides a good-sized Gilt-Head Bream, hooked by Ray Frendo, a Dentex (Dentici) caught by Freddie Cassar, and a Wrasse (Tirda tal-Passa) landed by Simon Attard.

Results: 1. John Azzopardi 1.55kgs; 2. David Tabone 1.08kgs; 3. Simon Attard 1.02kgs; 4. Mary Vella 0.930kgs; 5. Pierre Poulton 0.910kgs.

This match was sponsored by Mister Fish of Iklin and Fgura. Those wishing to become members or need further information about the club may visit website www.kingfishersport.org. The next activity will be a doubles match on June 1.
