The dramatic company Teatru Rjal will again present Sister Act, the stage adaptation of the film bearing the same name, at the Catholic Institute in Floriana on two consecutive weekends this month.

The story is about Maria Dolores, who leaves her fiancé - a criminal nightclub owner - and takes refuge in a convent dressed up as a nun.

Here Maria Dolores works hard to apply her singing experience to transform the choir run by the nuns into an exceptional one. In this she finds the support of a number of nuns.

The reading role of Maria Dolores will be played by singer Leontine with other supporting roles played by Debbie Scerri and Ina Robinich.

Sister Act is produced by Pawlu Testa, directed by Frederick Testa and choreographed by Mariosa Pavia. Among the most popular songs, to be interpreted live, are Lounge Medley, Salve Regina, I Will Follow Him, My Guy, Oh Happy Days, Dancing In The Streets, Rescue Me and Shout. Music will be provided by Joe Brown and his band.

Sister Act will be staged on Saturday and Sunday at 6.30 p.m., on February 16 at 7 p.m. and on February 17 at 2.30 and 6.30 p.m.

Booking is open from Pawlu Testa Travel in Guardamangia (2122 3340 or 2722 3340), the booking office of the Catholic Institute (2123 8429) and the bar (2124 2551), Carmen Azzopardi in Rabat (2145 4836) and Tereża Bazaar in Żabbar (2189 2730).
