Visitors to the Malta International Airshow at the airport had their fill of wonderful flying machines over the weekend, with 12 countries and Nato participating. This year, two aerobatic teams took part, the PC-7 Swiss Air Force team and the Orlik team from the Polish Air Force. The picture above shows an RAF Eurofighter Typhoon. A Belgian Air Force F-16 made aerobatic displays. The airshow, organised by the Malta Aviation Society, has been held for the past 23 years. The Ministry of Tourism, Malta Tourism Authority, Malta Air Traffic Services, Armed Forces of Malta, the Malta International Airport, the Police Force and Civil Protection Department supported the event.
