Opposition leader Simon Busuttil will today be attending the summit of the European People’s Party in Brussels.

The summit, the last one this year, is meeting prior to the European Council meeting, also being held in Brussels today.

It is also one of the last summits before the EPP congress in Malta in March, being held here following Dr Busuttil’s invitation. Some 1,300 people are expected to attend the congress.

Also attending today’s summit are European Council President Donald Tusk, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, European People’s Party President Joseph Daul, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and other Prime Ministers and leaders from all over Europe.
