A silent walk in honour of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, who was killed in a car bomb on October 16, is being held in Valletta on Thursday.

The walk will start from City Gate at 6.30pm and continue through Republic Street to Ms Caruana Galizia's memorial, next to the Great Siege monument.

Tina Urso, Lelly Fenech, Becky Vella and Emma Paris said that although 30 days have passed since the assassination and although people fought and took a stand, they were still being ignored.

"Daphne fought relentlessly for the strengthening of police institutions, for transparency and accountability. Reviving Daphne’s memorial space serves as a reminder to everyone that the fight goes on until we see this change and until we see justice. Therefore attendees are encouraged to bring flowers, plants, and candles,” they said.

The organisers said they would also be handing out bay leaves and gold markers to participants to leave a one-worded message on each leaf, which would be left at the memorial area.
