Four hundred and fifty years after the people of Malta and the knights of the Order of St John fought side by side to ward off an Ottoman invasion, Archbishop Charles Scicluna and Imam Mohamed El Sadi yesterday lead an inter-religious prayer service marking the anniversary of the Great Siege. The service was held at St Lawrence Collegiate church, in Vittoriosa, after they walked in a procession from Couvre Port.
