A shop owner was robbed of about €800 as he was closing his pastizzerija in Luqa Road, Paola, on Sunday.

The police said the owner, 31, of Luqa, was pulling down the shutters when he suddenly felt a gun against his head at about 9 p.m.

They said the robber, who was wearing a scarf around his head and a hood over it, demanded the owner to hand over the money before running away.
