Malta striker Daniel Bogdanovic has attained a pre-season tonic after scoring Barnsley's goal in an entertaining 1-1 draw against Manchester City in a friendly at Oakwell on Saturday. City held the initiative for long stretches but Bogdanovic, a second-half substitute, put Barnsley ahead when he chased down a long ball and fired a shot past Shay Given with seven minutes remaining. Martin Petrov equalised for big-spending City two minutes from time. Picture shows Bogdanovic about to shoot the ball past Given during Saturday's friendly.
