Two boys have been placed under probation for three years after admitting to having offended public morals when they engaged in sexual acts with two younger girls in a game based on spin the bottle.

The incident took place in July 2009 at Marsascala football ground. The boys were both minor at the time. The girls were even younger, at 13 and 14 years old.

The court said that there was no evidence of any violence , threats or deception against the girls but there was peer pressure which the girls were not able to overcome. What had started with kissing continued with undressing and oral sex, the court heard.

The court also ordered the boys not to speak to the two girls.
