Eight of the victims of sex abuse by two priests sentenced jointly to 11 years in prison last week are this morning meeting Archbishop Paul Cremona at his residence in Attard.

The victims, who are accompanied by their lawyer Patrick Valentino, were welcome at the door by the church's pro-vicar Mgr Anton Gouder.

Speaking on behalf of all his colleagues, victim Lawrence Grech said when asked what they were expecting out of the meeting that the victims wanted the Curia to take steps against Fr Conrad Sciberras, a fourth priest who has not yet been brought to justice.

Although the case of Fr Sciberras is still being investigated by the Vatican, allegations against him were time-barred and, therefore, he could not be tried in court.
