Seven migrants from Somalia, including a family of five and two single adults who were granted subsidiary protection in Malta, have left Malta to start a new life in Denmark.

This latest departure brings the total number of migrants who have been  relocated from Malta since 2005 to 1,737.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Malta and the International Organisation for Migration were involved in collaboration with the Danish authorities at various stages of this relocation process.

The exercise was wholly financed by the Danish authorities.
