Yes - let the congregation speak, as the heading to Tony C. Cutajar's letter aptly put it. It is a fact that you cannot please all the people all the time but you can please some people some of the time. Of course there is room for improvement in the homilies at San Ġwann parish church but every live organisation strives to improve what it produces. This is exactly what the seven friars and one brother do to give a service to the parishioners. These friars (who have other religious duties outside the parish) give a dedicated service for many hours of the day. Sometimes even late in the evenings.

San Ġwann, which has one of the largest populations in Malta, is lucky to have so many priests and is the envy of other large areas that have far fewer priests in service. Perhaps Ivo Galea does not appreciate this and rushed to print on a homily which was not to his liking. Like the majority of parishioners, I urge the fathers to continue with their good work and not to be discouraged with the rare comment which is not the view of the majority.

Thank you Capuchin fathers and thanks also to the Province for their commitment towards the parish of San Ġwann.
