A man was seriously injured this afternoon after crashing his car into a ditch in Zabbar. 

The incident occurred at around 1.40pm, police said, on Triq Santa Duminka. 

An ambulance rushed the man, a 34-year-old Cospicua resident, to Mater Dei hospital for treatment. Although his injuries are serious, they are not life-threatening. 

An investigation is underway, police said.
