Troubled AC Milan slipped back to sixth in Serie A on Sunday after they lost 2-1 at home to Atalanta and rivals

Udinese beat Fiorentina 3-1. Sergio Floccari and Antonio Langella scored the first half goals against a sleepy Milan defence before a frantic last five minutes when Milan almost levelled. Paolo Maldini pulled one back with a header, team mate Alessandro Nesta was sent off for protesting and Andrea Pirlo had a penalty saved.

Clarence Seedorf had earlier had a goal wrongly ruled out for offside.

Udinese move above Milan and are now just three points behind fourth-placed Fiorentina after goals from Italy strikers Antonio Di Natale and Fabio Quagliarella secured victory.

Sunday's game between Juventus and Parma was postponed after a Parma fan was accidentally knocked down and killed by a bus following a spat with rival supporters.

The following were the serie A results:

Milan 1 Atalanta 2

Empoli 0 Sampdoria 2

Catania 1 Torino 2

Genoa 2 Reggina 0

Livorno 0 Siena 0

Udinese 3 Fiorentina 1

The Juve - Parma match was postponed following a fatal incident involving a suporter (see separate story).
